Column: ‘Watermedia’ show opens opportunities | Local entertainment

Building and strengthening community through the arts. The SAGE Community Arts project is one that I may be biased about but I believe in its authenticity. Our latest exhibit in the Exhibition Gallery is “Wyoming Waters: Small Works Watermedia.” This exhibition is everything that SAGE strives to do through our work.

In working to put together the call for art for the “Wyoming Waters: Small Works” exhibit, it was important to have few restrictions for artists to submit artwork for the exhibit. The prospectus for the call for art said that the work that needs to be created within the last two years, must be based on water (watercolor, gouache, acrylics, etc.) cannot exceed 20 inches in height or width, including the frame, and that there were only 40 places he was there to come first.
