Qatar World Cup Opening Ceremony: Watch, live stream Korean pop star Jung Kook of BTS perform, start time

It’s finally time for the World Cup. The biggest tournament in football is about to begin Diameter host Soccer World Cup Sunday, November 20. But before Qatar and Ecuador Go to the arena, the opening ceremony should begin. Not only will they showcase the best of the 32 participating countries, but the opening ceremony will also feature musical performances, including an appearance by BTS’s Jungkook. The popular boy band has confirmed that their member will be among the performers at the opening ceremony and will also feature on the soundtrack.

Originally scheduled to begin on November 21, the opening ceremony was moved a day earlier to allow hosts Qatar to begin the tournament as usual, but the ceremony had to be held at night for a planned fireworks display. History will be made as not only will this be the first Winter World Cup, but Jungkook will be the first Korean to perform at the opening ceremony of the World Cup.

Jungkook will perform the World Cup anthem “Dreamers” with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Qubeisi.

Who else will perform?

Qatari singer Fahad Al-Qubeisi will also perform at the opening ceremony. She’s also a producer, model, and human rights activist, as event organizers foreground a message of encouraging conversation about inclusion and diversity. Although after the president of FIFA Gianni Infantino’s speech on Saturdaythat may be easier said than done.

Lil Baby won the 2022 Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for Kanye West’s Storm and was also honored with an XXL Award, BET Awards and more. Since opening acts are usually 30 minutes or longer, other people are likely to join the seven-act program.

Decline and other performance rumors

Shakira, who has attended past World Cups, was reportedly scheduled to perform but decided not to attend the opening ceremony. His Waka Waka song from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa has a place in our memories. Dua Lipa was also rumored to be involved but she released a statement on Instagram.

Dua Lipa said about the performance: There are currently many speculations about my performance at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar. “I will cheer United Kingdom “I will continue from afar and I look forward to seeing Qatar, when Qatar has fulfilled all its human rights obligations when it won the right to host the World Cup.”
