Shoppers at the Shawnee Mall said they were shocked after graffiti depicting prominent politicians and media figures while the Nazis were openly displayed. Shawnee market owners told KOCO 5 that they spoke with the Community Art Gallery, who put on the exhibit, several times last week before the show. The mall said the building decided to display the work against their will, and mall management told them to remove it as soon as they realized it was on display. KOCO 5 reached out to the museum via Facebook, and by phone, but received no response.

“It was an incredible display of anti-Semitism and racism in my opinion,” Shawnee resident John Brown said.
